Last night, my dear friends over at The Collective Shift invited me to attend Apple’s “Meet the Photographer” featuring their very own, Tommy Ton. Josh Peskowitz, of Gilt Groupe / Park & Bond, interviewed Tommy about his beginnings, Peacocking (the men outside Pitti) and his favorite street style snap (Anna Wintour in the snow). I found Tommy’s responses unassuming, and his advice to a fellow audience member to be persistent, a friendly reminder for myself. I did say follow-through is my 2012 resolution. Paris is his favorite city to photograph subjects, and he knows when you’re hovering to be snapped; so, dress for yourself and you’re candidness will be rewarded. Image photographed on my Fuji X10
